DALLAS -- New Baylor athletic director Mack Rhoades vowed Monday during his introductory news conference to repair the culture of the Bears football program.Rhoades, whom Baylor hired away from Missouri last week, said at Big 12 media days in Dallas that he intends to reform a department rocked by its sexual assault scandal by prioritizing a standard that no one entity is greater than the university. Its a commitment to excellence in everything we do, said Rhoades, who takes over Aug. 15. There are just certain things we wont tolerate, and moving forward, everybody will be on that same page.On a day when Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby said conference presidents are deeply concerned about being associated with Baylors issues, and one day before Baylor leadership presents more information on how it is addressing those issues to the leagues board of directors, Rhoades made his debut and expressed his excitement about the opportunity to lead Baylor forward.Baylor interim president David Garland appeared at Rhoades introduction and spoke with reporters afterward. He reiterated the school will not release any more details or a written report from its Pepper Hamilton investigation, even though Bowlsby and the league have requested more. There is no more information to really give out, Garland said. And I know that may be hard to believe. The information would be more salacious details, and Im just not going to do that.Despite that stance, Rhoades promised this: Were going to be transparent. Every stop Ive been at, weve been transparent. Weve been transparent with the university, the donors, the fans, and were going to continue to do that. Thats just how were going to operate. The new AD has yet to set foot on Baylors campus -- hell do so Tuesday -- and acknowledged he doesnt have a deep level of understanding about everything that took place at the school. But hes not afraid to make further changes.Certainly there has to be some changes, there have been changes already, and Ill determine whether or not thats enough and whether or not we need to move even farther, Rhoades said.Bowlsby suggested Monday that some league presidents feel the image of the Big 12 and its members has been sullied by the Baylor incidents. Garland offered a frank response to that concern: Weve sullied our own reputation, and were trying to do everything possible to correct that.Rhoades has yet to meet interim football coach Jim Grobe. He said hell have a plan in place by the end of the season for a football coaching search, if one is necessary, but added he has respect and admiration for Grobe. As for Grobes nine assistant coaches, all of whom worked for former coach Art Briles, Garland indicated the football staff will be retained and coach this season unless something more comes out that I dont know about. Rhoades supports that plan. The university, I think, did a great job in terms of looking at all the facts, he said. They made a decision that that staff remains in place. I support that decision. I look forward to getting to know them. Stitched Red Wings Jerseys . PETERSBURG, Fla. Detroit Red Wings Shirts . Still, Brewers manager Ron Roenicke thought taking him out before the fifth inning was an unusual move. "Im looking up at the board and hes got two hits given up and one run, and Im taking him out after the fourth inning," Roenicke said. https://www.cheapredwings.com/ . 1, meaning problems for the doping controls at both major international sports events next year. Detroit Red Wings Store . Dallas hasnt ruled out the star quarterback for Sunday nights game against Philadelphia, but all signs point to Romos back injury pushing Kyle Orton into the starting role after two years of limited play as the backup. Surely Ortons name isnt the first that comes to mind for fans wanting a change after years of damaging interceptions, fumbles or, most infamously, the field goal flub when Romo dropped the snap on a kick that could have won his first playoff game in 2006. From Pierre LeBrun While Anaheim GM Bob Murray said earlier this season he was not going to trade Jonas Hiller despite the fact hes an unrestricted free agent on July 1, some sources have told TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun that Murray might be willing to move another goalie. AHMEDABAD --- It was the second half that won India the Kabaddi World Cup final on Saturday.Perhaps lulled a bit by their thumping 73-20 win over Thailand a day before, the hosts struggled to crack the Iranian defence in the first half. Fazel Atrachali marshalled Irans players in their half and kept Pardeep Narwal from scoring. Iranian captain Meraj Sheykh used his reflexes well to keep the raid points coming even as Ajay Thakur seemed to struggle for India. At half-time the hosts were 18-13 behind. The pressure was telling. But minutes into the second half, Thakur got going. His team trailing 19-14 and with only four members left, Thakur went on a raid, scored two points and reduced Iran to three players. In the next minute, he scored another raid point to level the score at 20-20.India were back in the game. After another successful raid by Thakur in the 29th minute, India inflicted their first all-out and took a 24-21 lead. It was the first time they were ahead in the second half. With Thakur taking charge of the attack, India experimented with their defence as they brought in Surjeet Singh to replace Manjeet Chhillar. The hosts also tried to keep Irans stronger players -- Sheykh and Abozar Mighani in attack and Atracheli in defence -- on the bench.dddddddddddd.The change in defence and strategy both clicked -- and India continued to lead from there on. Surjeet, who did not play in the semi-final, impressed with his tackles from the right.Iran, after looking dominant in the first half, fell short in the second.Thakur utilized his height well during the raids to get hand touches and increase Indias lead. Nitin Tomar, who too came on in the second half, scored six raid points -- his best performance of the tournament. In the final few minutes, a raid from Sheykh narrowed Indias edge to 34-27. In their group-stage loss to South Korea, India had conceded seven points in the last three minutes. This time, however, captain Anup Kumar kept his team calm and patient, preventing Iranian raiders from scoring. And though it wasnt as easy as it had been in 2004 and 2007 for them, India completed a hat-trick of World Cup wins.
