FIFA president Gianni Infantino has postponed next weeks visit to Australia to attend funerals in Brazil for those lost in the Colombian plane crash.Infantino had planned spend a day in Sydney on Monday on a personal invitation from Football Federation Australia chief Steven Lowy.But his first trip to Australia since his election as soccers top official in February will be rescheduled following this weeks crash, which killed 71 people including most of Brazilian Serie A side Chapecoense.Hell instead head to South America to pay his respects to those affected by the tragedy, which occurred as Chapecoense players, club officials and journalists were en route to Medellin for the first leg of their maiden Copa Sudamericana final with Atletico Nacional.Lowy spoke with Infantino on Thursday night to convey Australias condolences, with a rescheduled visit expected to be announced in due course.Infantinos schedule had included meeting senior Australian government representatives and participate in a football diplomacy round-table discussion at the Lowy Institute.It also set aside time to meet with local officials to share his vision for the game with the breadth of the Australian football community.It was unclear if frustrated Australian football stakeholders would have had a chance to air their grievances to the head of the scandal-dogged world governing body.A-League clubs have argued behind closed doors with FFA for an independent governance body for the league, or for increased representation on the FFA board.Partially in response to those meetings, FFA is currently considering constitutional change that would re-draw the power dynamics in Australian football.Australia supported Jordanian candidate Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein in Februarys FIFA presidential election but was not unhappy with the election of Infantino.
