MILWAUKEE -- Colorado Rockies starter Chad Bettis struggled to get the ball over the plate from the start against the Milwaukee Brewers.Bettis issued a career-high seven walks, issuing free passes to multiple batters in the first, second and fifth innings in the Rockies 4-2 loss to the Brewers on Monday night.It just was one of those nights, didnt have very much stuff working Bettis said. I was just nibbling a little bit. You cant do that, especially in the first inning where we score a run.Bettis (10-7) gave up four runs and four hits and threw 111 pitches, second only to his career-high 114 on April 25 against Pittsburgh.His command wasnt sharp, Colorado manager Walt Weiss said.
