The power surge of the 2016 has its corollary damage -- pitching. There have been the usual standout performances, but we have not seen the dozens of arms posting sub-3.00 ERAs as we have in the recent past (I count between 12-15 this year.). Whats more, its become ever more difficult to mine the free agent pool for in-season pitching help.For me, its been particularly discouraging. Ive always prided myself in being able to accurately evaluate pitching talent and manage the pitching categories.
