. Its a tough environment to play in. The team went in there and looked like they were focused and prepared. They played so well Antworten

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady complimented his replacement, Jimmy Garoppolo, on a solid performance in the teams 23-21 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday night. It was a great night for him and for our whole offense, Brady said on Westwood One Radio during his weekly Monday Night Football interview.?I think one thing you realize as the quarterback is everyone being in sync and on the same page and the communication with your teammates is so critical. For us to go in there and get a win like that, it was great for, obviously, our offensive football team. The defense played great, special teams. Its such a team sport.Jimmy did everything he was asked to. It was a great way to start the season for our team.Garoppolo finished 24-of-33 for 264 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. In his biggest miscue, he was strip-sacked in the second quarter, which led to the Cardinals first touchdown. After the game, Garoppolo was presented with a game ball from coach Bill Belichick, which Garoppolo said meant a lot to him. Video on the Patriots website shows Garoppolo smiling as he receives the ball and calling the team together for the traditional team breakdown after victories. One teammate described the postgame scene as sheer joy. Those are the type of moments Brady craves, and he said on Westwood One that while hed prefer to be playing, he found value in watching the NFLs Red Zone Channel throughout the day.It was still an enjoyable Sunday, nonetheless ... on the couch, seeing games from a different perspective, he said. Its a great way to watch how a lot of the flows of the games are going. You see a lot of situations. Theres a lot to learn each week in the NFL.Specific to the Patriots-Cardinals game, Brady said, It was a great game to watch. Its a tough environment to play in. The team went in there and looked like they were focused and prepared. They played so well in so many areas. It was great to see the offense get off to a great start. It was a great first drive. Lot of great plays by Jimmy, by the skill players. The offensive line did a great job. To get up 10-0 like that was huge on the road. I think that was a great way to start the game for our team.Asked if he felt angry, helpless or nervous, Brady said it was none of those things. He was interested in what the Patriots were doing and how adjustments were made.Football is great to watch on TV, he said. You get so many different angles and replays. You dont get those things when youre playing.A lot of times, you dont know how well you did until you watch the film after the game ... the athleticism of all the players and how hard the hits are and how quickly the decisions are made, its just so much fun to watch. As for how hes staying sharp, Brady explained on the program that he has varied his workouts, per his normal routine.Im just trying to stay in football shape because its football season, to find ways to have some people I work with, with bags, to hit me and be able to make throws with people chasing after you, to work on my mechanics, to keep my movement in the pocket, my drops fluid, all those things, he said. Its a lot of field work, a little bit in the gym, a lot of body work I always get in order to keep my body balanced.Im just trying to really mimic what I would normally do during the season. Thats work out four-to-five times a week, stay sharp throwing the ball. Mentally, its a little challenging because I dont get all the film work that Id really like to get, but thats just what were dealing with.Brady said in the interview that he can be in contact with teammates to congratulate them, so he isnt completely cut off, but there can be no game-planning.Its fun to watch them and support them, and even if Im not out there, Im with them in spirit, and Im just hoping and cheering like all those Patriots fans that we win every game we play, he said.On a light-hearted note, he laughed when host Jim Gray brought up an Instagram post in which he was throwing a pass to his wife, Gisele Bundchen. Its fun to have her out there playing catch. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon. I joke that if she was one my receivers, shed get every pass I threw, so I think Julian [Edelman] and Gronk [Rob Gronkowski] might get a little bit jealous. GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Exposing the nations sharp political divisions as Election Day nears, supporters of Republican Donald Trump repeatedly interrupted President Barack Obama on Tuesday as he urged North Carolina Democrats to take advantage of early voting and cast their presidential ballots for Democrat Hillary Clinton.Obama also delivered a sharp indictment of Republicans who continue to support Trumps bid despite hearing him on a recently released video recording from 2005 talking in vulgar terms about making unwanted sexual advances toward women. The fact that now youve got people saying, `Well, we strongly disapprove. We really disagree. We find those comments disgusting. But were still endorsing him. We still think he should be president. That doesnt make sense to me, Obama told several thousand people at a raucous outdoor rally. Now I hear then some people saying, `Well, Im a Christian so Im all about forgiveness because nobodys perfect, Obama said. Well, that is true. I am certainly not perfect ... and I, too, believe in forgiveness and redemption, but that doesnt mean Im going to elect the person president.House Speaker Paul Ryan said he was sickened by Trumps comments on the recording, and he rescinded an invitation for Trump to join him at a weekend rally in his Wisconsin congressional district. But Ryan has not pulled his endorsement of Trump, as some other Republicans have. Still, he has told fellow House Republicans he would not defend Trump or campaign with him and would focus on protecting the House GOP majority.Obama said some Republicans were trying to have it both ways. You cant repeatedly denounce what is said by someone and then say, `But Im still going to endorse him to be the most powerful person on the planet and put them in charge, he said.Several minutes after Obama started speaking, a young man and a woman who appeared to be Trump supporters moved toward the stage and revealed T-shirts that said Bill Clinton Rapist. This is great, Obama said, as the largely supportive crowd began to boo.Obama contrasted Clintons experience, qualifications and penchant for sweating the details with Trump, who Obama said doesnt have the temperament, judgment, knowledge or basic honesty a president needs to have. And that was true even before we heard about his attitudes toward women.Obama also criticized Trump for threatening during Sundays debate to jail Clinton for using nongovernment email servers when she was secretary of state in Obamas first term, without the benefit of a trial or due process.Obama said the U.S. has stood in contrast and in opposition to those kinds of ideas and, I frankly never thought Id see the day when wed have a major party candidate who would be promoting those kinds of notions. He urged those in audience to vote, saying youve got everything to lose in the Nov. 8 election and that civility is on the ballot, as well as respect for women, tolerance and even democracy. If you want to send a message in this election, make it a resounding message: Turn back the forces of racism and misogyny, Obama said. The stop in North Carolina, parts of which are experiencing record flooding in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, marked the first of three appearances the president has scheduled this week in battleground states in the White House race. The president canceled a Clinton campaign event last week in Miami because of the approaching storm. Polls indicate the presidential race is extremely close in North Carolina. On Thursday, Obama is scheduled to travel to Pittsburgh to address a White House event on the future of innovation in the U.S. and around the world. That evening, he is scheduled to address the Ohio Democratic Partys annual dinner in Columbus. He campaigns again for Clinton in Cleveland on Friday.Obama opened his remarks by reflecting on Hurricane Matthews toll of death and destruction in North Carolina.Thoughts and prayer are with the folks who are still dealing with rivers that are overflown, homes that are being flooded, he said.
